As the architecture increased and became more complex, it became very important to protect the occupants in the event of fire and to ensure that the buildings were evacuated safely. Accordingly, while the project is still in the design phase, it is imperative to evacuate the building in case of an emergency, and to create safe escape and shelter areas for the occupants. In multi-storey skyscrapers, fire stairs should not be from the ground floor of the building to the roof, they should be confused, and the entrance of gas and smoke other than flame and heat to these areas should be prevented by means of high pressure in the areas on the escape route. For this reason, it is very important that the doors used in high-rise buildings are absolutely gas and smoke proof. Considering all these, apart from fire and heat, S (cold smoke and gas) proof doors are also produced. In today’s conditions, it is not enough for the doors used especially in multi-storey residences, business centers, schools, shopping centers to be fire and heat proof, gas and smoke proof features must be added to the fire doors, doors suitable for this purpose should be designed, the necessary tests should be done and produced.
